2 Deflecting Palm

This is basically just a Boros Burn deck except those four red-green cards in the sideboard, Destructive Revelry. In case you are wondering 'why not just use Wear/Tear?'; well, because of two reasons.

First, (i) I wanted a card that can destroy an artifact and/or an enchantment but, at the same time, deals damage to its controller. Which Destructive Revelry can do, unlike the other two sideboard staples, Smash to Smithereens and Wear/Tear.

And second, (ii) I left my Wear/Tears at home. I only have these with me. ^_^

I won my first round (vs BG Yawgmoth). Path to Exiles and Searing Blazes were my MVPs.

Then lost my next four games (Baral Gifts Storm, BG Yawgmoth, 5c Domain Zoo, and Amulet Titan) due to one reason: lands. Yes, lands. Either  I was not drawing lands or drawing too much lands.

Then won my sixth-round match (BG Yawgmth, again) before dropping.

I really cannot do anything about that. I guess I will have to play better on my next (probably my last) outing.

Anyway, you guys take good care. Thanks for reading.

LEGACY: BURN

BURN
7 April 2024
401 Games
Toronto Canada

RD 1 URB Delver win
RD 2 BUG win
RD 3 Merfolk win
RD 4 5c Control ID
RD 5 BW Stoneforge ID
S BW Stoneforge loss

RD 1
Baited the opponent with Price of Progress before dealing eight damage via two Fireblast.

RD 2
Eidolon of the Great Revel, Pyrostatic Pillar, and Lightning Bolt spells won me the round. By the way, it felt weird but very satisfying when my turn two Eidolon got negated by the opponent's Force of Will. It felt like, my turn one Spryb Sprites getting countered by Force of Will.

RD 3
Pyroblasting Lord of Atlantis (destroyed) and Merfolk Trickster (countered) in order for me to protect Eidolon and Swiftspear were the focal points of my tempo.

RD 4 and RD 5
ID in these games.

Landed second after the swiss.

Semis:
Lost the round in a close match. Could have won the game if I had three lands. But alas, that's magic!
