APRIL 2020: IZZET WIZARDS PIONEER

Here I am again, sharing my Izzet Wizard from my untap in results.

Notes:

I am not impressed with the performamce of Brazen Borrowers so I took them out from the 15 and replaced them with a Tormod's Crypt and enlisted my lone Scab-Clan Berserker again to duty. 

UR ENSOUL ARTIFACT

The game was all about speed and bolt-shock removals. And if bolt-shocks are opponent's only main source as removal, Hazoret is king. It is important to kill asap his small artifact creatures using shock burn spells before they start creating problems later on. Abrade also played big during the late game of game three.

RBu TEMPO

He won game one because he had a lot of cheap removals for my prowess army. Izzet charm, pushes, and Collected Brutalities keeping his boat afloat with drain life for two. 

I won the next two games because of prowess speed and Dreadhorde Arcanist's recycle ability.

He produced tokens off the YP as his last hurrah, but Goblin Chainwhirler single-handedly killed them all. Also in this game: my lone Tormod's Crypt in the deck > what could have been a fourth turn Bedlam on his part. WIN. 

MONO BLACK AGGRO

Game three: Turn zero Leyline of the Void > Dreadhorde Arcanist. He had a lot of removals for my early one drops. After that bloodbath, he started assembling his army headed by Gifted Aetherborn. He finished me off with Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain lifing the hell out of me. 

UR AGGRO 

In a battle between a mirror of fire and bolt, the first one to call the 5/4 god wins. I did three full turns ahead of his. WIN. 

RGb AGGRO

Pump and protection spells to his creatures paired with that green enchantment (Season of Growth) equals gas. 

I managed to win game one because I top deck a Wizard Lightning for lethal damage. I won game two because he cannot do anything against my indestructible 5/4 haste pinging god. 

Scab-Clan Berserker also did its share by scoring six trigger points when opponent casted three non creature spells. WIN
