List

versus Humans
Game one: I was down to one when things started going my way. On my last upkeep, my hand was two rituals, Manamorphose, and an Opt. On my table: five blue-red lands and a couple of bears. The opponent had an army headed by Thalia, Guardian of Thraben. I drew for the turn, Unsubstantiate. I bounced the 2/1 white tax creature then Opt with high hopes that I will see either another Gifts Ungiven or Past in Flames or even a Grapeshot for reset purposes. I saw brick. Immediately brought it down and was gifted with a Repeal. I used it to bounce Kitesail Freeebooter which freed Gifts Ungiven and started cascading spells from there. The opponent had no answer and conceded once he saw the pile.

Game two: The opponent had hates on-stick: two Meddling Mages naming Lightning Bolt and Goblin Electromancer, and two Kitesail Freebooters nabbing Abrade and ritual. My hand the entire game was: two Lightning Bolt, a golden goblin, and mana accels.

Game three: On the play and saw this opening seven: three rituals, Manamorphose, Opt, Steam Vents, and an Empty the Warrens. Just one delay of land drop will tantamount to death. I pondered deeply on whether or not I will keep this very tempting seven. After like an eternity, I gave in to the temptation.

The opponent opened the turn with a Leyline of the Void. My turn one: paid two life points for Steam Vents and pass. I cast the Opt on his end step and saw Shivan Reef. Pick it up untap my izzet shockland then draw for the turn, Goblin Electromancer. Dropped Shivan Reef into this sequence: ritual, morphose (drawing a bolt), electromancer, then the last two rituals. At this point - I had five storm count, five red mana floating, and the cards on my hand were an Empty the Warrens and a Lightning Bolt. I could bolt him and bring the storm count up to six then warrens for fourteen. Settled instead for twelve 1/1 goblins. My reasons: (i) twelve goblins and fourteen goblins have the same speed, and (ii) I was saving the Lightning Bolt as protection against Deputy of DetentionEchoing Truth or Detention Sphere-like spells. Win.

versus Grix Death's Shadow
Game one: I called fourteen goblin tokens off the Empty the Warrens then pass the turn. On my upkeep, I checked our life points his at thirteen while mine was at eleven. He had two blockers, an Insectile Aberration and a Scourge of the Skyclaves. I drew for the turn, Repeal. Bounce one of his blockers and swung for lethal. Win.

Game two: On my second to the last turn, first main phase, my hand had: Mystical Dispute, an Empty, and a Goblin Electromancer. I thought of calling four goblins, but my instinct says otherwise. So I only summoned the golden goblin and simply passed the turn.

On my opponent's last turn, our life points were: him at fourteen and mine was at eight. We had the following on the table: him five blue-black lands only while I had two different bears, five blue-red lands (three of were open), an Aria of Flame with 2 counters on it. He started his last turn with a Kozilek's Return. I let it resolve and decided to save my counter spell for any of the following: Death's ShadowDelver of Secrets, or Scourge of the Skyclaves. His next set of actions were fetchland into shockland (going down to eleven life points) into a 2/2 Death's Shadow.

I tried to deny its entry through Mystical Dispute (Aria of Flame got its third counter and his life point went down to eight) but was negated by Stubborn Denial. The black creature hit the table, checked his life total before shipping the turn.

I untapped all my lands. Upkeep, checked the things on my table: five available blue-red lands, an Aria of Flame with three counters on it, and an Empty the Warrens on hand. I need two spells to win. Preferably a one-mana valued cantrip then Empty. A ritual or morphose will do too. I drew Desperate Ritual. Sweet! Win!

Misplay: This was pointed out to me after the game by an audience. That one of my bears, Baral, Chief of Compliance, should not have had died when Kozilek's Return resolved for the latter only deals two and the former is 1/3.

versus UW Urza Thopter Combo
Game one: He tapped all his mana for Urza, Lord High Artificer. I go off unmolested when I got my turn back. Past in Flames - Grapeshot (from hand) - flashbacked Remand sending Grapeshot back to hand - Grapeshot (same card). Win.

Game two: On my last turn, our life points were: his at twenty-two and mine was at nineteen.  On our table, the opponent had four blue-white lands (all tapped out), a Sword of the Meek, and an Emry, Lurker of the Loch. While for my part, I had the following: An Aria of Flame with three counters and three lands. My hand after the draw was: two Manamorphoses and a Pieces of the Puzzle

I started the turn by casting one of the red-green cards. Aria deals four (twenty-two to eighteen). Manamorphose gifted me a bear. Dropped the bear then summoned the second morphose (got Sleight of Hand). Aria deals five (the opponent is now down to thirteen). Now to decide what color to float. I checked my hand: I saw blue cards (Pieces and Sleight). So, will it be blue-blue, red-blue, or red-red?

I called two blue mana off the hybrid card. Brought Sleight of Hand (U left) down to the table. Aria of Flame deals six (he is now at seven life points).

I was hoping for another cantrip spell but was momentarily sadden when I saw these: Steam Vents and Past in Flames. I checked my hand (Pieces of the Puzzle) and on my table, a bear. Immediately saw the connection. Picked the dual land over the engine. Dropped it. Paid two life points into Pieces of the Puzzle. Aria of Flame triggering for the last time dealing exactly seven damage for the win.

versus Jund
Game one: I called a mob of goblins but was dealt single-handedly Maelstrom Pulse. I did not recover after that.

Game two: If I am not mistaken, I won this game via Aria of Flame. I cannot remember the specific spells and their sequence. But what I can recall was that most of the spells were cantrip that fueled me to victory.

Game three: I had ten goblin tokens on my fourth turn. He had a Plagued Engineer the turn after. From there, discard spells plus Liliana of the Veil's +1 discard ability controlled my hand.

versus Esper
I lost this round in three games because the opponent was able to refill his hand at a faster rate, thanks to Teferi, Time Raveler, Teferi, Hero of Dominaria, and Jace, the Mind Sculptor. Not to mention these: Cryptic Command, Opt, and Snapcaster Mage

versus UR Prowess
Game one: The opponent had a hot start. Three one-drop 1/2 prowess red creatures plus two one-mana-valued red spells immediately ate thirteen off my life points in just two swings. On my last turn, I reap a bear off the library. I dropped my third land, Shivan Reef, then began surveying the opponent's table through my phone's screen and saw all cards were tapped. The coast is clear, but one thing is bothering me - that shipping back the turn to him would surely mean death.

So I looked at my hand: Baral, Chief of Compliance, Island, Desperate Ritual, Manamorphose, Gifts Ungiven, Remand, and Opt; and thought of the possible routes.

The first option: bear-ritual-morphose-gifts which probably will end up me praying hard to Keranos for a mana accelerant off the Manamorphose (that is from the gifts pile). The Second option is bear-ritual-morphose-Opt-gifts. Slightly better than the first because it digs a card or two if you decide to bottom it off Opt's scry. And the last option: bear-ritual-morphose-Opt (on the stack)-Remand-Remand draw-Baral draw then discard. Certainly, drawing three cards is better than the first two options. So I elected to go with option three.

Dropped the blue 1/3 bear into ritual into Manamorphose (2R 2U storm count is now three). Manamorphose bestowed a ritual. Sweet! Cast it and without passing the priority yet, Remanded it. Ritual returned to hand. Remand draw - then draw an extra card off the Baral trigger. The opponent, being a storm player as well, conceded after I presented the pile because he knows where it is going. Win.

Game two: I summoned twelve goblin tokens. The opponent only had two lands throughout the game. I win in two swings. After the game, he told me that he had a Kozilek's Return in hand and was only lacking one more land.

Quarters versus Jund
Game one: The opponent tapped all lands at one point then pass the turn. I wasted no time cascading spells when I got back my turn for I know this is the only window I am going to have to go off without worrying about any in respond spot removals for my bear. Gifts Ungiven - pile - Grapeshot - Past in Flames - Grapeshot for the win.

Game two: The opponent had all the answers to every non-land permanent I put onto the table. A few turns after, I decided to go all-in for twelve goblin tokens with a bolt-on hand as protection in case a pulse shows up. Sadly, it was Plague Engineer who joined the party. I never recovered after that ordeal.

Game three: The opponent had fetch into shockland plus two Thoughtseizes on his early turns. So on my third turn (or fourth turn it was) I settled for only eight goblin tokens. As the game progressed, no Maelstrom Pulse at sight but there were two Tarmogoyfs and a Liliana of the Veil. I won in few swings.

Semis versus Jund Death's Shadow
I forgot how things went on games one and two. For game three, however, I still do - through Aria of Flame.

Finals versus Jund
Game one: The opponent kept a hand of no disrupt spells nor spot removals for the bear. I had a turn three unmolested storm combo. Grapeshot - Past in Flames - recycled a few spells in the graveyard - Grapeshot

Game two: The opponent mulled to five. No discard spells nor a permanent removal in his opening five, Aria of Flame got me there. Win!

PIONEER: MONO RED WIZARDS PROWESS

Mono-Red Wizards
Kick Engines MTG's Discord Online Pioneer Tournament
7 April 2021

RD 1: UB Control 2-0
RD 2: UB Control 2-1
RD 3: Abzan Auras 2-0
RD 4: Niv-Mizzet Bring to Light 2-1
RD 5: UB Control 2-0
Q: Mono Black Aggro 2-0
S: Gruul Aggro 2-1
F: Abzan Auras 2-1

versus UB Control
Game one: Two one-drop creatures, Dreadhorde Arcanist plus one mana valued red cantrip spells dictated the game's phase. The opponent was unable to find any answers. Win.

Game two: The opponent did manage to eliminate my first squad consisting of two Monastery Swiftspears and a Ghitu Lavarunner. But had no answer later on for my next team: Soul-Scar MageDreadhorde Arcanist, and Ghitu Lavarunners.

versus UB Control
Game one: One-drop prowess creatures, together with shock spells, dictated the phase of the game. Win.

Game two: His life point total was within two Shock spells away when he started to establish control of the situation. He had counterspells and spot removals for my burn spells and creatures. The opponent soon wins the game through Torrential Gearhulks beatdown.

Game three: I was just a turn away from winning when the opponent used Cry of the Carnarium. From that point on, similar to what happened in game one, he had an answer to every spell or creature I play. I even tried to borrow his 5/6 blue gearhulk beater with Kari Zev's Expertise but was denied by Negate. I drew a Ramunap Ruins on my last turn. Checked our life points - mine: nine opponent: one. Checked the things on my table, four open Mountains. Win.

versus Abzan Auras
Game one: Unfortunately, the opponent mulled to five cards. The collective effort of Monastery Swiftspear's prowess, Ghitu Lavarunner's +1/+0 extra buff, plus Magmatic Channeler with an extra +3 on it won me the game.

Game two: I aimed all my burn spells at the opponent's creatures. And by the time he ran out of creatures, that was the only time I started aiming at his life points. Win.

versus Niv-Mizzet Bring to Light
Game one: The opponent mulled (less one) and kept a six with removals but a slow hand against burn in general. Magmatic Channeler and Ghitu Lavarunners headed the team's game one victory.

Game two: The opponent had a lot of removals for my beaters. From Abrupt Decay, Dreadbore, Fatal Push to Extinction Event and Shadow's Verdict. Omnath, Locus of Creation's gain four life points every first landfall eventually won him the game.

Game three: I was a turn away (again) from winning again when Extinction Event single-handedly wiped my team of one-drop creatures. I untapped all three lands for the turn and drew a Wizard's Lightning. I only had two cards in hand, the bolt spell and a Crash Through. I decided not to cast Crash Through because of fear of not hitting a one-drop wizard card. So I simply pass the turn with a prayer that no gain life shinanigan will take place.

The opponent summoned an Omnath, Locus of Creation. I checked our life points, mine still at a safe distance while he was at six. I gave the multi-colored 4/4 creature spell a thumbs-up. Now I pray to the angels and saints that he'll have no land drop. The 4/4 hit play and he simply passed the turn back.

"End of turn Wizard's Lightning you." Bringing his life down to three. I untapped for the turn. Draw - another Wizard's Lightning. Win.

versus UB Control
Game one: The opponent was down to one when I topdecked a Ramunap Ruins.  Sweet.

Game two: The opponent did not keep that many spot removals. He had no answer to my army of two 1/2 prowess creatures, and a Ghitu Lavarunner

Quarters versus Mono-Black Aggro
Game one: I dedicated all my burn spells to his creatures. Two 1/2 prowess creatures eventually get there.

Game two was a race between black and red creatures. I had a Wizard's Lightning on hand throughout the game but decided to use it in a later game situation. On my last turn, life points were: mine two and the opponent was eleven. I swung for a combined power of eight plus Wizard's Lightning. Win.

Misplay: I forgot to include Lavarunner's +1/+0 extra buff on its second swing. That one point could spell the difference between losing and winning. Good thing my red army dealt lethal damage on my next swing.

Semis versus Gruul Aggro
I forgot what exactly transpired for this round. Plus I cannot find the piece of paper I used to chat down notes. It could have helped me remember things.

Finals versus Abzan Auras
Game one: End of his turn, Wizard's Lightning him bringing down his life total to four. Shock him on my first main phase. Then swung Dreadhorde Arcanist. Trigger the red zombie wizard's ability targetting a shock spell. Win.

Game two: His Lagonna Band, Trailblaizer reached 10/11 (first strike, flying, and vigilance) that quick. Yikes. He won the race in two swings!

Game three: Go wide plus all burn spells were aimed at his creatures. Win.

MODERN: MONO-RED GOBLINS

Kick Engines
Discord Modern Online Paper Tournament
13 March 2021

RD 1 UW Control 2-0
RD 2 Dredge 2-1
RD 3 UG Infect 1-2
RD 4 Amulet Titan 2-1
Q UW Control 2-1
F GW Heliod 2-1

versus UW Control
Game one. I mulled to six: MemniteOrnithopterKuldotha RebirthGoblin Instigatorand two Mountains. Turn one: Memnite, Ornithopter, and Kuldotha Rebirth (sacrificing Ornithopter). Turn two: I summoned a Goblin Instigator and swung for four. Third turn: cast my second (just top-decked) Kuldotha Rebirth (sacrificing Memnite). Summoned Goblin Bushwhack with kicker. Swung all nine 2/1 goblins. Win.

Game two. At one point, his life point was at ten. Then he cast a Timely Reinforcement and pass the turn. I had six goblins and one Goblin Chieftain for my turn. I attacked all red dudes threatening for fourteen damage. He used his two soldiers to kill the goblin lord and took the rest, sixteen to four. He diffused another Timely Reinforcement on his turn giving himself another cushion (from four to ten life points) and added three more blockers to his troop. I summoned a Goblin Wardriver and a bushwhacker on my last turn. Swung the entire team consisting of six 1/1 tokens, a wardriver, and the whacker; all attacking creatures have +2/+0.  Three unblocked goblin tokens were enough to get me there. Win.

versus Dredge
Game one. The moment he cast Merchant of the Vale's adventure side, Haggle, I knew I was in deep trouble because of two reasons. First, I kept a slow hand consisting of three Mountains, two Goblin Wardrivers, and two Goblin Instigators. Second, I did not include any graveyard hate in my fifteen. But luck was on my side because there were no dredge cards on his next three turns. And by the time he managed to summon the Conflagrate in an attempt to kill as many goblins as possible, it was too late for his life total was within reach with what's left of the horde.

Game two. I mulled to six and saw what I am looking for: first turn Ornithopter - Kuldotha Rebirth - go. But Dredge still curved its way to victory. Getting hit by two Creeping Chills early in the game; then dredge creatures were early to set foot on the battlefield. Pairs of the following: Prized Amalgam, Bloodghast, and Narcomoeba. I know I cannot the race so I conceded.

Game three: I settled for a hand of six consisting of Memnite, Kuldotha Rebirth, Dragon Fodder, and three mountains. I thought a horde of five goblin tokens was enough to outrace Dredge, but I was wrong. They almost got wipe-out by Conflagrate. Good thing Goblin Bushwhacker and Banner's Raised were there to give the remaining goblins enough push to get there. Win.

versus UG Infect
Game one: I kept a hand of two zero to cast creatures plus a Goblin Bushwhacker with high hopes that I'll draw into a Kuldotha Rebirth in my next two turns. Sadly it did not happen. Blighted Agent dealing nine infect damage was enough to get the job done for team infect.

Game two: Bolt the bird: Searing Blood his Noble Hierarch. The opponent loses tempo after that. The horde took advantage and swung for lethal damage two turns after killing the Conflux printed green mana dork.

Game three: I attempted to kill his blue infect unblockable creature with Searing Blood but it got countered by Spell Pierce. He then proceeded at what the opponent's deck does best, win in one shot.

versus Amulet Titan
Game one: Six goblin tokens (from two Kuldotha Rebirths) in successive turns - nurture them with +2/+0 (from a bushwhack and Banner's Raised) a turn after, was good enough to outrace the giants. Team goblin was just lucky because he had no Amulet of Vigor. The outcome is different for sure if he had the artifact.

Game two: I did manage to destroy his Amulet of Vigor with Smash to Smithereens but the opponent returned the favor, by obliterating my mob through an  Engineered Explosives. I did not recover from that annihilation. Two, no three Primeval Titans finished me off in this game.

Game three: My turn one: Ornithopter Mountain into Kuldotha Rebirth. The opponent's turn one was an Amulet of Vigor. My turn two: swing the mini mob, summoned Goblin Wardriver - go. Opponent's turn two was another Amulet of Vigor then pass. I topdecked a grenade on turn three. Cast Goblin Bushwhacker. Swing the entire mob with three power each. Second main phase, land drop into Goblin Grenade. Win.

Semis vs UW Control
Game one: The opponent put up a very good stoppage. Kuldotha Rebirth met Force of Negation. Dragon Fodder met Mana Leak. Goblin Instigator met Logic Knot. And Goblin Wardriver met another Mana Leak. The opponent ran out of gas after that defensive prowess. He had no answer to my next batch of mob: two 1/1 tokens, a wardriver, and a Goblin Chieftain

Game two: Another brilliant cessation during the early turns by the opponent. Spell Snare the wardriver. Force of Negation the Krenko's Command. Mana Leak the Goblin Instigator. This time, he did not run out of gas. The opponent eventually summoned a Stoneforge Mystic into Batterskull. Two turns after, the opponent had a 6/7 lifelink black germ token with protection from green and black swinging at me. Even though I have four tokens and a Goblin Chieftain on the table, I still conceded for I know a 6/7 lifelink germ token with protection from green and black will still win against my mob.

Game three: Kuldotha Rebirth resolved on my turn one. Swing the three 1/1 goblin tokens the summoned a Goblin Wardriver by turn two. The opponent's turn two: Stoneforge Mystic fetching Batterskull then pass. I topdecked a Goblin Grenade. Carefully check, double - and even quadruple check if my math is correct. I dropped a bushwhacker from my hand. Swing the entire horde bringing his life to less than five. Second main phase, tapped the remaining Mountain - sacrificed a goblin into dealing five damage to him. I prayed to Krenko that he's not holding any Force of Negation. No Force of Negation. Win.

Finals vs. GW Heliod
Game one:  My opening hand was: Ornithopter, Memnite, a couple of Kuldotha Rebirths, Goblin Bushwhacker, and two Mountains. Keep. The opponent had no answer. Win in two swings.

Game two: I saw this seven: Kuldotha Rebirth, Krenko's Command, Goblin Chieftain, Goblin Wardriver, Mogg War Marshall, and two Mountains, then asked myself - is this keepable? I decided to keep it because the GW Heliod deck needs at least four turns to assemble their combo. Unfortunately, the opponent did reach his fourth turn and was able to assemble his combo - Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Spike Feeder. I know where the game is going and goblins cannot win against an opponent who has five million lives.

Game three: I mulled and settled for this hand: OrnithopterMemnite, two Kuldotha Rebirths, Banner's Raised, and a Mountain. I went for the Kuldotha combo on my first turn while the opponent summoned a Giver of Rune. I swing all three goblins with high hopes that he will block his 1/2 white rune. He did without any hesitation. Before damage dealing, I responded with Banner's Raised giving my mob +1/+0 thus killing his white 1/2 rune. On my second main phase, I dropped the land I just top-decked and summoned Memnite into another Kuldotha Rebirth then pass. The opponent had nothing on his turn two. Land drop (basic Forest) and simply pass the turn. I drew for the turn, tanked for ten to twenty seconds before deciding to attack. One of the goblins met Path to Exile. Second main phase, I cast Krenko's Command bringing the number of mob to six goblin tokens - then pass the turn.

The opponent dropped a fetch - searched for a basic land - summoned Heliod, Sun-Crowned then pass.  This is a clear indication that he is going to go off on his next turn. I drew for the turn, Goblin Bushwhacker. I double-check my math. Summoned the goblin with kicker effectively giving everyone a +1/+0. Then swung for the win.

MODERN: White Green Death and Taxes

It has been seven months since my last tournament report post on this blog page. Back then I assumed that in-store events will begin to normalize by 2022, at best. But I was wrong. They slowly returned to the scene as early as late October 2020. And with that, I will be needing this page again because, unlike my MTGO or untap.in games where I can share them by uploading to my Youtube,  it is through this avenue where I can share my experiences from playing in an in-store event. So without further ado, for my first event report post for 2021, here it is.

Kick Engines's Discord Online Modern Tournament
20 February 2021

RD 1: Mono W Eldrazi Taxes 2-1
RD 2: UR Prowess 2-0
RD 3: GB Yawgmoth Combo 2-1
RD 4: Eldrazi Tron 2-0
RD 5: UR Prowess L
Q: GB Yawgmoth Combo 1-2

versus Mono W Eldrazi Taxes
I lost game one because I decided to keep a hand that had one green-white mana source, a Brushland. I never got to draw another green-white source. I won the next two games. Game two's MVPs were the defensive trio: Skyclave Apparition and (vial-in) Flickerwisp / (summoned) Restoration Angel. The same thing happened on game three, only this time it was the duo of Apparition and Wisp that took care of most of the opponent's offensive threats. I also like the tag-team interaction of Leonin Arbiter and Winds of Abandon, permanently removing a creature without giving him any land. Sweet.

versus UR Prowess
Game one: I cast a Chalice of the Void (for one counter) on my third turn followed by an Archon of Emeria on my next turn. I thought I had the game in check until he was able to summon a  Bedlam Reveler and a Stormwing Entity. I was able to regain control of the game when I topdecked a Knight of Autumn and a Restoration Angel giving me another eight life points cushion. He only had one flying while I had three which was enough for me to win the game.

Game two went like this: Turn one Deafening Silence. Turn two Celestial Purged his Soul-Scar Mage. Turn three Knight of Autumn. Turn four Chalice of the Void (for one). Four (or five) turns later, I topdecked a Restoration Angel. Blinked the green-white knight for a beanbag of life. Win.

versus GB Yawgmoth Combo
I committed a grave misplay in game one. It happened on the opponent's last end of turn. I had an active vial on two and four green white lands. I tapped Aether Vial - brought down Scavenging Ooze. Then, still the same end of his turn, I summoned Restoration Angel. While the angel was still on the stack, this is where he responded with a Chord of Calling fetching Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. His combo went online immediately when the black physician hit the table. Off to game two we go.

Game two: I had an early Rest in Peace out on the table but I think the opponent was not that concerned with it because he was taking the Hapatra, Vizier of Poison route. By the time he had a pit of 1/1  deathtouch snakes, plus a couple of Strangleroot Geists without any counters on them, Winds of Abandon single-handedly wiped them all. From there the opponent was not able to recover.

Game three: Chalice of the Void for one, Rest in Peace, Aven Mindcensor, and Archon of Emeria dictated the tempo of the game. Win.

versus Eldrazi Tron
Game one: I had two early Ghost Quarters to stop him from ramping his mana count. But he kept on dropping lands to the point he managed to get enough lands and cast All is Dust. Good thing Aether Vial (which at that point it had three counters on it) is a colorless permanent. At the end of his turn, I brought down flying creatures, a vialed-in an Archon of Emeria, and summoned a flash Aven Mindcensor. Then swung for lethal on my turn.

Game two: My second turn: second land (Ghost Quarter) into Leonin Arbiter. His third turn, Pithing Needle naming Ghost Quarter. I summoned a Knight of Autumn on my third turn to destroy the needle. Drew my second Ghost Quarter on my fourth turn and did not hesitate to smash two of his non-basic lands, Eldrazi Temple and an Urza's Tower. Archon of Emeria, Thalia, Guardian of Thraben, and Flickerwisp joined the party turns later.

versus UR Prowess
I did not get to draw any hate cards.

Q: versus GB Yawgmoth Combo
Game three: He had answers to whatever hate I bring to the table. He won the game through his Yawgmoth combo.

Right after the match, just as we were deboarding, the opponent asked why I did not search for basic lands (from the Assassin's Trophies). I got a little frustrated upon hearing it because the lands off the Assassin's Trophies could have helped hasten my movements. So I told him that it is the owner of the card's responsibility to convey to the opposing player the effects of the card. His defense was "but there's this 'may search clause'  that is why I did not say a thing" which, to me, is not a good one.

Alright people that is all. Stay safe always and thank you for reading!
