versus UW Control
Game one. I mulled to six: Memnite, Ornithopter, Kuldotha Rebirth, Goblin Instigator, and two Mountains. Turn one: Memnite, Ornithopter, and Kuldotha Rebirth (sacrificing Ornithopter). Turn two: I summoned a Goblin Instigator and swung for four. Third turn: cast my second (just top-decked) Kuldotha Rebirth (sacrificing Memnite). Summoned Goblin Bushwhack with kicker. Swung all nine 2/1 goblins. Win.
Game two. At one point, his life point was at ten. Then he cast a Timely Reinforcement and pass the turn. I had six goblins and one Goblin Chieftain for my turn. I attacked all red dudes threatening for fourteen damage. He used his two soldiers to kill the goblin lord and took the rest, sixteen to four. He diffused another Timely Reinforcement on his turn giving himself another cushion (from four to ten life points) and added three more blockers to his troop. I summoned a Goblin Wardriver and a bushwhacker on my last turn. Swung the entire team consisting of six 1/1 tokens, a wardriver, and the whacker; all attacking creatures have +2/+0. Three unblocked goblin tokens were enough to get me there. Win.
versus Dredge
Game one. The moment he cast Merchant of the Vale's adventure side, Haggle, I knew I was in deep trouble because of two reasons. First, I kept a slow hand consisting of three Mountains, two Goblin Wardrivers, and two Goblin Instigators. Second, I did not include any graveyard hate in my fifteen. But luck was on my side because there were no dredge cards on his next three turns. And by the time he managed to summon the Conflagrate in an attempt to kill as many goblins as possible, it was too late for his life total was within reach with what's left of the horde.
Game two. I mulled to six and saw what I am looking for: first turn Ornithopter - Kuldotha Rebirth - go. But Dredge still curved its way to victory. Getting hit by two Creeping Chills early in the game; then dredge creatures were early to set foot on the battlefield. Pairs of the following: Prized Amalgam, Bloodghast, and Narcomoeba. I know I cannot the race so I conceded.
Game three: I settled for a hand of six consisting of Memnite, Kuldotha Rebirth, Dragon Fodder, and three mountains. I thought a horde of five goblin tokens was enough to outrace Dredge, but I was wrong. They almost got wipe-out by Conflagrate. Good thing Goblin Bushwhacker and Banner's Raised were there to give the remaining goblins enough push to get there. Win.
versus UG Infect
Game one: I kept a hand of two zero to cast creatures plus a Goblin Bushwhacker with high hopes that I'll draw into a Kuldotha Rebirth in my next two turns. Sadly it did not happen. Blighted Agent dealing nine infect damage was enough to get the job done for team infect.
Game two: Bolt the bird: Searing Blood his Noble Hierarch. The opponent loses tempo after that. The horde took advantage and swung for lethal damage two turns after killing the Conflux printed green mana dork.
Game three: I attempted to kill his blue infect unblockable creature with Searing Blood but it got countered by Spell Pierce. He then proceeded at what the opponent's deck does best, win in one shot.
versus Amulet Titan
Game one: Six goblin tokens (from two Kuldotha Rebirths) in successive turns - nurture them with +2/+0 (from a bushwhack and Banner's Raised) a turn after, was good enough to outrace the giants. Team goblin was just lucky because he had no Amulet of Vigor. The outcome is different for sure if he had the artifact.
Game two: I did manage to destroy his Amulet of Vigor with Smash to Smithereens but the opponent returned the favor, by obliterating my mob through an Engineered Explosives. I did not recover from that annihilation. Two, no three Primeval Titans finished me off in this game.
Game three: My turn one: Ornithopter Mountain into Kuldotha Rebirth. The opponent's turn one was an Amulet of Vigor. My turn two: swing the mini mob, summoned Goblin Wardriver - go. Opponent's turn two was another Amulet of Vigor then pass. I topdecked a grenade on turn three. Cast Goblin Bushwhacker. Swing the entire mob with three power each. Second main phase, land drop into Goblin Grenade. Win.
Semis vs UW Control
Game one: The opponent put up a very good stoppage. Kuldotha Rebirth met Force of Negation. Dragon Fodder met Mana Leak. Goblin Instigator met Logic Knot. And Goblin Wardriver met another Mana Leak. The opponent ran out of gas after that defensive prowess. He had no answer to my next batch of mob: two 1/1 tokens, a wardriver, and a Goblin Chieftain.
Game two: Another brilliant cessation during the early turns by the opponent. Spell Snare the wardriver. Force of Negation the Krenko's Command. Mana Leak the Goblin Instigator. This time, he did not run out of gas. The opponent eventually summoned a Stoneforge Mystic into Batterskull. Two turns after, the opponent had a 6/7 lifelink black germ token with protection from green and black swinging at me. Even though I have four tokens and a Goblin Chieftain on the table, I still conceded for I know a 6/7 lifelink germ token with protection from green and black will still win against my mob.
Game three: Kuldotha Rebirth resolved on my turn one. Swing the three 1/1 goblin tokens the summoned a Goblin Wardriver by turn two. The opponent's turn two: Stoneforge Mystic fetching Batterskull then pass. I topdecked a Goblin Grenade. Carefully check, double - and even quadruple check if my math is correct. I dropped a bushwhacker from my hand. Swing the entire horde bringing his life to less than five. Second main phase, tapped the remaining Mountain - sacrificed a goblin into dealing five damage to him. I prayed to Krenko that he's not holding any Force of Negation. No Force of Negation. Win.
Finals vs. GW Heliod
Game one: My opening hand was: Ornithopter, Memnite, a couple of Kuldotha Rebirths, Goblin Bushwhacker, and two Mountains. Keep. The opponent had no answer. Win in two swings.
Game two: I saw this seven: Kuldotha Rebirth, Krenko's Command, Goblin Chieftain, Goblin Wardriver, Mogg War Marshall, and two Mountains, then asked myself - is this keepable? I decided to keep it because the GW Heliod deck needs at least four turns to assemble their combo. Unfortunately, the opponent did reach his fourth turn and was able to assemble his combo - Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Spike Feeder. I know where the game is going and goblins cannot win against an opponent who has five million lives.
Game three: I mulled and settled for this hand: Ornithopter, Memnite, two Kuldotha Rebirths, Banner's Raised, and a Mountain. I went for the Kuldotha combo on my first turn while the opponent summoned a Giver of Rune. I swing all three goblins with high hopes that he will block his 1/2 white rune. He did without any hesitation. Before damage dealing, I responded with Banner's Raised giving my mob +1/+0 thus killing his white 1/2 rune. On my second main phase, I dropped the land I just top-decked and summoned Memnite into another Kuldotha Rebirth then pass. The opponent had nothing on his turn two. Land drop (basic Forest) and simply pass the turn. I drew for the turn, tanked for ten to twenty seconds before deciding to attack. One of the goblins met Path to Exile. Second main phase, I cast Krenko's Command bringing the number of mob to six goblin tokens - then pass the turn.
The opponent dropped a fetch - searched for a basic land - summoned Heliod, Sun-Crowned then pass. This is a clear indication that he is going to go off on his next turn. I drew for the turn, Goblin Bushwhacker. I double-check my math. Summoned the goblin with kicker effectively giving everyone a +1/+0. Then swung for the win.
